Now, let's shift our focus to the resilient powerhouse—the timing chain. Belts need replacing at between 40,000 and 60,000 miles, depending on the manufacturer and materials used. On the other hand, chains are made out of metal, meaning they don't need frequent change - most are replaced after they start to malfunction, but we don't recommend it.
